COMPOZIT SLABS
They are the slabs that steel sheets and concrete are used in the same position. In composite slabs, steel sheets act as formwork and scaffolding and also a tension member of static design. Due to these properties of steel sheets in composite slabs, there is no cost of formwork. Also the cost of scaffolding is negligible or zero. In addition to these the steel sheets in composite slabs make them more elastic against to the earthquake loads.
Occasionally, composite slabs can be used in order to get the elasticity steel and long life of concrete in the systems that have steel main structure.
