STEEL CONSTRUCTIONS
In our country, most of the lands are in the 1 st and 2 nd degree earthquake zone. Therefore we think that light and elastic building materials usage is essential. Steel is the most suitable material for that purpose. Because of this we design industrial buildings by using steel elements.

Steel constructions are not depends on any certain form and has a lot of kinds of elements for applications. Due to this property, steel can be used for every architectural plan.

In steel constructions the structural elements are made before they came to the construction site. It makes an economy in time when compare with conventional reinforced concrete systems. In addition to this possibility of de-montage is a very big advantage for steel structure that does not exist in any other construction systems.

The unwanted deformations or collapses occurred during earthquakes are the results of the resistance of construction materials against to the earthquake loads. But steel is the material that has high elastic limits. Therefore in case of earthquake, steel can tolerate the earthquake load. Occasionally, in an earthquake zone steel constructions have much more economic life then the others.

In addition to these steel constructions have less dead loads then the others. Due to this they have more simple and small foundation requirements. And that means more cheaper foundation cost.

Finally, as in the explanation of engineering ( solving psychical problems by using science in an economic manner ) in the psychical conditions of TURKEY , steel is the material must be used.
